Why sugaring?

It’s exciting to try all the new beauty trends, but there’s a reason sugaring has been used for hair removal across millennia.

(Rumor has it Cleopatra—yes, Cleopatra—used this method.) 

Sugaring is organic

We only use natural and organic sugar pastes. No parabens, dyes, fragrances or any unnecessary synthetic ingredients here—only sugar, lemon, and water, as Mother Nature designed.
We’re pretty sure this is her preferred method too.😊

It’s longer lasting

With the root gone (as opposed to breaking the exposed hair at skin level), it takes longer for roots to regrow, resulting in smoother skin for longer.

At the root

Unlike waxing, sugaring doesn’t adhere to the skin, only gripping the hair for a more thorough root extraction. This prevents breakage leading to less in-growns and painful red bumps, making it less painful than traditional waxing.

Sugar Glam Studio requires a credit card to be put on file to book appointments and will only be charged according to our rescheduling and cancellation/no show policies, otherwise nothing will be charged to the card on file . The full balance will be due at the end of your appointment.

We understand things come up—life is crazy! So to respect everyone’s time, please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment time to avoid a fee. Thank you for your understanding!

  • Reschedules: Reschedules under 24 hours will be charged a $25* fee and must be rescheduled within a week of your original appointment time. A second reschedule of your appointment under 24 hours will be charged half of the scheduled service(s). A third reschedule of your appointment under 24 hours will be charged full price of scheduled service(s).

  • Cancellations and No Shows: Any cancellations under 24 hours and no-shows will be charged the full price of scheduled service(s).

  • Late Policy: If you are running late, please call us at 646-649-3921 and we will try our best to accommodate. Otherwise, being 5+ minutes late to an appointment with a duration of less than 20 minutes or 10+ minutes late to an appointment with a duration of 20 minutes or more would be considered a “cancellation under 24 hours” and will be charged the full price of scheduled service(s).


*If services are less than $50, the fee for “reschedules under 24 hours” is half of the scheduled service price.
